Tom Kramer will forever be known as one of the greatest tennis coaches in Washington state high school sports history.
The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association inducted the longtime and now retired coach and teacher at South Whidbey High School into its hall of fame at a ceremony May 7.
Kramer coached tennis at the high school for more than three decades before stepping down in the 2011-12 school year and retiring from teaching at the end of the 2013 school year.
Several people joined Kramer at the lunch event in Renton, including his daughter Karyle Kramer, who succeeded her father and runs the boys and girls tennis teams.
