Island Transit has announced its July-December 2014 Employee of the Half, Steve Ward.

The bi-annual award is given to an employee whom other employees have nominated for outstanding service.

According to a press release, Ward received the honor largely due to his ability to boost morale with “his positive attitude, generosity and kindness.”

“When a smile is needed, we go to Steve,” the release stated.

It also noted that Ward has demonstrated professionalism in representing Island Transit.
