The Inn at Langley is among five hotels in Washington state to make National Geographic Traveler magazine’s “Stay List 2009.”

The 28-room inn on First Street was recognized for being “authentic, sustainable and memorable.” They liked the view, too.

The selections were made after consultation with journalists, travelers and local experts, the magazine said.

The list, to be published in the April issue, includes hotels throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

The other Washington state hotels selected were the 11-room Turtleback Farm Inn on Orcas Island, the 120-room Arctic Club Hotel and the 120-room Hotel 1000 in Seattle and the 611-room Davenport Hotel and Tower in Spokane.
