Some top local minds in bluff safety and stability will convene in Langley later this month.
After the small bluff slide on Cascade Avenue in March, the city planned a seminar on shoreline bluffs. Terry Swanson of the University of Washington will discuss coastal geology at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 29. Following his talk, Elliott Menashe of Greenbelt Consulting will cover vegetative management of shoreline bluffs at 1:15. Langley’s city planner, Jeff Arango, will review the city’s shoreline master program at 2:15.
The conclusion of the seminar will be a beach walk and bluff tour at 2:45.
