Langley potentially becoming a sanctuary city will be a point of discussion at an upcoming Langley City Council meeting.
On the agenda for the 5:30 p.m. meeting on Tuesday night at City Hall is a presentation by the Langley Ethics Committee, comments from the city’s attorney and a public commentary/presentation, according to city documents.
While city officials were considering moving the meeting to a different location that would be suitable for a larger crowd, as the sanctuary city topic has drawn ample attendees in the past, Mayor Tim Callison said the meeting will be held at City Hall.
“It’s easy for us to hold meetings there,” Callison said. “We’ve got transcription equipment and computers there.”
