Congressman Rick Larsen said Friday he will launch his reelection campaign with kick-off events in Island, Skagit, Snohomish, San Juan and Whatcom counties.

Larsen, a 2nd District Democrat, is seeking a fifth term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“It is a privilege to represent the district that my family has called home for the past 106 years,” Larsen said. “I have worked hard to represent local communities in Congress and build a record of accomplishments for the 2nd District.”

His campaign kick-off events start next week in Skagit County. The first event is at the Farmhouse Restaurant in Mount Vernon on May 27.

After fundraisers in Bellingham, Everett and Friday Harbor, Larsen will host his Island County kick-off on Monday, June 2 at the Deer Lagoon Grange in Bayview.

Larsen currently serves on the Armed Services Committee, the Small Business Committee, and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Rick Bart, a Republican and former sheriff for Snohomish County, is running against Larsen for the District 2 seat in Congress.
