Their coach is Jan McNeely, physical education specialist at the primary school.This year about 40 Little Dribblers poured onto the hardwood floor during halftime of the regular game. They dribbled standing, on their knees and whatever way they thought would impress the crowd.They love it, they love the crowd, McNeely said after the dribbling demonstration. The crowd cheered their every dribble, and the kids glowed in the limelight. They weren’t really ready to leave the floor.Dribbling teaches the kids hand-eye coordination. They spend three weeks practicing their dribbling techniques, which will come in handy during youth basketball competition.But for 6-year-olds, the high school gymnasium is the big time.
