Loganberry Festival has two opportunities for artists

Greenbank Farm is offering cash prizes to Loganberry Festival logo winners in two categories: T-shirts and wine labels.

“Whidbey Island is a scenic canvas for artists, many of whom have captured Greenbank Farm in watercolor, oil or India ink. Now’s the time to make that artistry pay. Greenbank Farm is offering cash prizes to Loganberry Festival logo winners in two categories: T-shirts and wine labels.Winners in each categoriy will be awarded $200, and voting will be by people’s choice. Entries will be displayed at the Farm during the voting period, April 16 through May 15. This year marks the first time contest art will be used on the commemorative Loganberry Festival vintage, while the T-shirt graphic is the third in a series which began in 1998.The contest is open to artists of all ages and all skill levels, amateur to professional. Artists must be Island County residents, and submissions are limited to one entry per category per artist.Size specifications are a maximum of 3 by 4.5 inches for the wine label and 8 by 10 inches for the T-shirt. Art may be in full color in any medium desired, but must include the words Loganberry Festival 2000. There are no font restrictions.Name, address and phone number must be placed in a sealed envelope affixed to the back of the art to encourage objectivity during the selection process.The deadline for entries is April 15.
