Motorcycles, classic cars go ‘Round the Rock’ for Whidbey’s homeless youths

The sixth annual ‘Round the Rock! classic car and motorcycle ride and barbecue will be Aug. 24.

This event benefits homeless children of Whidbey Island through the nonprofit Ryan’s House for Youth.

Registration for the classic car and motorcycle ride starts at 9:30 a.m. at 405 S. Main St., Coupeville. Entry fee is $10 per ticket. Raffle and prizes for high and low score.

The “End of Ride” is at the Oak Harbor VFW. Everyone is welcome to the barbecue at 3:30 p.m. There will be live music performed by AGE and Jacob’s Road. The meal includes ribs, teriyaki chicken, burgers, salads, desserts and more and is open to all and at $15 for adults and $5 for kids under 8 years old.
