James and Carol Maynard of Freeland are thrilled to announce the birth of their son, Myles Dean Maynard.

Myles was born on Feb. 24, 2011 in Bayview on the way to Whidbey General Hospital in Coupeville. He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces.

Myles was welcomed into the family by big brother Duncan, 3, and grandparents Gary and MaryLynn Poland of Clinton and Cyndy and Stephen Maynard of Greenbank.
