South Whidbey Fire/EMS has a new website, the district announced Tuesday.

The new website features a modern layout and contains more social media content. It will be formally presented to the commissioners at their regular board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9 at the district’s headquarters in Freeland.

The new website includes a live twitter feed as well as a video section in the site’s sidebar. A new blog is also featured on the site, and all content will be constantly updated, according to a news release.

“We wanted to make our website faster, easier to navigate, mobile device compatible, and user-friendly,” said South Whidbey Fire/EMS Chief Rusty Palmer, in the release. “As a community service provider, it’s important for us to make information regarding services, volunteer opportunities and incident reports easy to access.” Visit www.swfe.org to see the site.
