The Nightcrawlers Garden Club celebrated its 31st anniversary this month. The club began meeting in 1980 with 13 members. The original planning committee members were Janice Gabelein, Karen Jeffers, Alice Miller, Carol Spangler, Margaret Tagg and Pat Westling.
Today, the club has 27 members and continues to meet at member’s homes or at local restaurants. The group’s 10 annual meetings cover a range of activities and topics such as “Mosaic Birdhouses” by Rose Dascher, “Birds in the Garden” by Joy and Craig Johnson or tours including one of Frank Fujioka’s rhododendron garden or Bayview Farm & Garden with horticulturist Eric Studebaker.
