The HUB After School Program is holding its fourth annual Garden Cart Benefit Raffle this month.
According to a recent news release, local merchants donated the cart and its contents, a $1,000 value.
The contents of the cart include a stainless steel spade and pitchfork, pistol grip dipper, mini hand cultivator, hand held weeding knife, anvil pruner, assorted hand tools, bird feeder, birdseed, plant and vegetable seeds, vegetable starts, plant fertilizer and food, wildflower seeds, two garden hoses with sprinkler and nozzles, knee cushions, garden gloves, a Kodiak rhododendron, two Blue Crop blueberry plants, three African daisies and 13 fused glass necklaces and earrings by Sherren.
The HUB is a community supported, drop-in after school program serving middle and high school aged youth each school day.
Thus far, HUB volunteers have served 2,000 meals to students during the 2014-15 school year.
Tickets for the raffle cost $5 each. The drawing will take place June 3.
