The Opportunity Council is recognizing its 50th anniversary this year with a community celebration at the Mount Baker Theatre in Bellingham Thursday, Nov. 12.

The event starts at 6 p.m. and features speakers and videos celebrating “community action” partners and projects over the past 50 years.

Tickets cost $10 and are available at www.mountbakertheatre.com or at Village Books in Fairhaven.
