As a new member of the Greater Freeland Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Public Relations, Inc. hosted its first Business After Hours event on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Over 40 local business and community members attended the event.
Northwest PR not only showcased itself, but its clients as well — such as Island Concierge Services, Inc., which provided catering.
Other contributions included flower decorations from Flowers by the Bay and coffee from Useless Bay Coffee Company. Other local businesses, such as Holmes Harbor Cellars, provided a wine tasting for attendees.
Northwest PR organized two different raffles. The first raffle sold tickets at $5, in which the $230 proceeds were donated to Ryan’s House For Youth, a local nonprofit that supports homeless youth on Whidbey Island.
Over $300 worth of prizes were donated by Callahan’s Firehouse, Useless Bay Coffee Company, The Paint Escape, Sweet Mona’s, Ott & Murphy Wines, Holmes Harbor Cellars and Whidbey Island Center for the Arts.
The second raffle included a drawing of business cards for a chance to win a free online video profile — valued at $1,495 from Northwest PR — in which Callahan McVay from Callahan’s Firehouse was the winner.
Founded by Jonathan Sage in 2005, Northwest Public Relations, Inc. has served over 100 clients on Whidbey Island.
