Beverly Graham gives talk at Unity
Beverly Graham will integrate songs and stories in her talk called “Living fully in your skin” at the Unity of Whidbey service on Sunday.
The message is about being fully present and showing up for life each day; such is the process of rebirth and renewal.
The service is 10 a.m. at Bayview Hall. All are welcome.
Forum looks at ‘commandment’
Trinity Lutheran Adult Forum presents Annette Andrews-Lux, M. Div., as she explores the forgotten commandment, “Thou shalt delight in each day!” on Sunday, May 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Come explore and reflect upon how the practice of delight can be understood as a spiritual virtue and a significant dimension of God’s desire for us to experience abundant life. Trinity Adult Forum meets at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday in the Fireside Room. All are welcome.
UUCWI looks at interconnnections
Bill Graves, ministerial intern at the Skagit Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, will be the speaker at the Sunday service for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island.
The more we look at issues of social justice, the more it is obvious that all are interrelated. How true it is that we are part of an “interconnected web of all existence” (Unitarian Universalist Seventh Principle). In recent years, our eyes have been opened to seeing that what we choose to eat has ramifications upon such wide-ranging issues as the energy crisis, global warming, degradation of the environment, unlawful immigration, as well as our own spiritual and physical health.
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island gathers for its Sunday service at 4 p.m. in the chapel at Trinity Lutheran, Woodard and Highway 525, Freeland.
Children’s religious exploration classes and childcare will be provided. All are welcome. Visit www.whidbey.com/uucwi for more information.

Whidbey Catholic study group meets
If you are a Catholic, practicing or non-practicing, or if you would like to learn more about the Catholic faith, you are warmly invited to join a study group that is having its next meeting the last week in May.
Readings will be primarily essays from distinguished Catholic magazines, emphasizing not just the moral teachings of the Church but also, and especially, the philosophical and theological reasoning behind these teachings, based on classical, orthodox doctrine.
The purpose of this study will be to experience the intellectual richness of a wisdom tradition that has been pondering the nature of human existence and the source of our knowledge over two millennia.
Discussion meetings are held in Langley twice a month. For details, call the Whidbey Catholic Study Group at 579-4350.
