Rep. Bailey leads two Democratic challengers in 10th LD House race

The November square-off for the 10th District, Position 2 seat in the state House of Representatives is shaping up to be a battle between incumbent Republican Barbara Bailey of Oak Harbor and Democrat Patricia Terry of Stanwood.

The November square-off for the 10th District, Position 2 seat in the state House of Representatives is shaping up to be a battle between incumbent Republican Barbara Bailey of Oak Harbor and Democrat Patricia Terry of Stanwood.

Bailey was leading with 54 percent of the vote, or 12,444 votes.

Terry had 26 percent, or 6,042 votes, with 22,742 ballots counted.

Democrat Ann McDonald, a Port of Coupeville commissioner, had 18 percent of the ballots cast, or 4,256 votes.

The two candidates emerging with the most votes from the “top two” primary today will advance to the general election in November.
