The Seattle Men’s Chorus will perform a benefit concert this weekend for CADA, or Citizens Against Domestic and Sexual Abuse.

“Everything Broadway,” is 7 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at the South Whidbey High School Performing Arts Center.

“Let us be your colorful guide down the Great White Way for a show-stopping concert packed with songs from Broadway’s biggest hits and hidden gems,” said the chorus, in a recent news release. “From classics of the Golden Age to today’s Tony award-winners, experience the dazzle, flair, and savoir faire that comes naturally to the boys of the Chorus. Celebrate ‘Everything Broadway,’ our way.”

Dennis Coleman is the artistic director of Seattle Men’s Chorus (and Seattle Women’s Chorus). He is retiring in June after a 35-year tenure.

A pre-concert VIP reception and benefit performance by “Captain Smartypants” of the Seattle Men’s Chorus is 4:30 p.m. at a private waterfront home in Langley.

“They are nine funny, outrageous and talented guys who are the best of the best,” the release said. “This ensemble has performed with Ann Wilson, Jennifer Holliday, Kristen Chenoweth, Melissa Manchester, and other notable entertainers. You will not be disappointed.”

Food and wine is sponsored by Windermere Realty, catering by Front Street Grill, wines by Spoiled Dog Winery and specialty cocktail by Cadée Distillery.

Cost is $35 for the concert alone, $150 for the pre-show reception and concert. All proceeds from the concert will support the non-profit CADA, Island County’s domestic violence and sexual assault agency.

Tickets can be purchased online at http://cadaconcert.brownpapertickets.com, or at Moonraker Books in Langley, bayleaf in Coupeville and CADA in Oak Harbor.
