The 2nd annual Shop Local Coupon Book, a fundraiser for Senior Services of Island County, will be available this month.
Sponsors, advertisers and sales agents have linked together in support of economic sustainability on Whidbey Island to offer over $2,200 in savings on goods and services to the community.
Programs offered by Senior Services of Island County, the progenitor of the project on Whidbey Island, will receive proceeds from book sales as part of the fundraising effort for 2013/2014.
The book costs $12 and all offers are good until Oct. 31, 2014. Look for the 2nd annual Shop Local Coupon Book beginning mid-November.
According to a Senior Services press release, the books are just in time for the holidays and can serve as all-occasion gifts, party favors, stocking-stuffers, fundraising premiums and thank-you gifts that encourage folks to think local, buy local, and support local services.
