Sexual harassment claims in South Whidbey School District resolved

Eleven harassment incidents were reported to the South Whidbey School District during the 2015-2016 school year. That’s according to a South Whidbey School Board report released on July 27 detailing instances of sexual harassment, bullying or any other type of harassment involving students or district staff. The district established a tip line in the lead up to the 2014-2015 school year, but no tips were reported until the most recent school year.

Of the 11 tips received, 10 involved student to student harassment and one incident was between district staff. The tips include incidents of student harassment, safety reports and general tips. The report claims every tip was investigated and resolved.
