Sheriff’s Report

The following are 9-1-1 reports to the Island County Sheriff’s Office, South Precinct.

Wednesday,

February 18

7:16 a.m. — A Bayshore Drive resident reported seeing a burgundy PT Cruiser racing around the neighborhood looking at mailboxes. The driver was confronted and said she was delivering flyers.

9:58 a.m. — A dump truck northbound on Highway 525 near Wild Coyote Run was dumping oil on the road.

11:46 a.m. — A Pintail Road woman reported an ongoing problem with a neighbor’s cows getting on her property.

10:03 p.m. — An East Harbor Road woman reported that an old friend threatened to kill her and was calling other people pretending to be someone else.

 

Thursday,

February 19

6:50 a.m. — A Holst Road resident reported there was a horse loose in his yard. The brown horse with white spots did not have a halter.

2 p.m. — A Bayview Road resident reported his trail cameras caught people taking pictures of the back of his house the previous Sunday evening.

2:37 p.m. — An East Harbor Road resident reported that someone drove on their lawn and removed a cedar stump off their property.

3:15 p.m. — A Cultus Bay Road resident reported that the owner of an abandoned vehicle on her property removed the tires and left. She wanted to know what she could do about it.

5:07 p.m. — An open line that sounded like a phone in a pocket was eventually hung up by a male who said “oh [expletive] not again” before disconnecting in the area of Wintergreen Drive.

 

Friday,

February 20

1:48 a.m. — Across from the ballfield at Dave Mackie Park in Maxwelton there was a group of people with a fire going. The Maxwelton Road resident believed they were transients who were going to camp there.

8:05 a.m. — A man, believed to be homeless, was reported wandering near Ken’s Korner with a bow and arrow before going into a bathroom.

2:20 p.m. — A man dropped off a Volkswagen Jetta at the Clinton Les Schwab a few days earlier, and a different man arrived claiming the vehicle was his and it was stolen.

 

Saturday,

February 21

2:32 p.m. — A foot was possibly found at Useless Bay on the beach. It looked like a leg bone attached to a foot, according to the reporting person.
