The Washington State Auditor’s Office has completed its annual accountability audit of the Sno-Isle Regional Library System and the state said it could find no problems in its review. It was the 24th straight year of a perfect audit for Sno-Isle.
“In the areas we examined, the district’s internal controls were adequate to safeguard public assets. The district also complied with state laws and regulations and its own policies and procedures in the areas we examined,” said the report, released on Nov. 16.
The audit covered 2008, when the library system had operating revenues of more than $29.4 million and roughly 490 employees.
