Port of South Whidbey Commissioners will gather for a special meeting to discuss strategy for the Possession Beach ramp rebuild.

The commissioners will go over preliminary design and permitting with consultants Coast & Harbor Engineering for an improved boat launch at Possession Beach.

The commissioners will also receive an update on the progress of the South Whidbey Harbor project.

The meeting will be the first of the year, which means the commissioners will be electing new officers among themselves. Also on the agenda, newly re-elected commissioner Curt Gordon will be sworn in.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the port’s conference room, 1804 Scott Road, Freeland.
