South Whidbey Harbor officials have announced the availability of crabbing spots on “D” and “E” docks at the marina in Langley.
Port of South Whidbey staff began taking reservations May 13 but there are still slots open, according to Harbormaster Duncan McPhee.
Reservations must be made in person at the Harbormaster’s Office at the Harbor, 228 Wharf St. in Langley from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Friday through Tuesday. Applicants must bring identification, be at least 18 years old and agree to follow both harbor regulations and Washington crabbing rules.
Crabbing spots may be reserved for up to two weeks per month. Crabbing from the elevated fishing pier will not require a reservation.
