Little League has winter clinics

South Whidbey Little League has a few baseball and softball clinics to get children back into the swing of things for spring ball.

The first is Jan. 25 at the Langley Middle School gymnasium, followed by a clinic Feb. 1 at the South Whidbey High School auxiliary gym, and the finale Feb. 8 at the auxiliary gym.

Ages 4-7 boys and girls can work on the fundamentals, including specific instruction on pitching, hitting and fielding, they’ll need for the upcoming year from 11 a.m. to noon; ages 8-14 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Players should wear appropriate footwear

— not cleats — for the gyms.

The cost is $30 for all three clinics and is applicable to 2014 registration fee.
