This week’s meeting for commissioners of the South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District has been canceled due to lack of a quorum.
The board was expected to review agreements on Wednesday with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife for Lone, Deer and Goss lakes, plus look at employees compensation and vandalism at the skate park in South Whidbey Community Park.
The meeting may be rescheduled for Aug. 31, which is the date of interviews for two candidates to replace Parks Commissioner Linda Kast.
A new commissioner, either Mark Helpenstell or Dave Parent, will take Kast’s seat at the Sept. 21 board meeting.
