The South Whidbey School Board will meet tonight for a workshop devoted to a report and discussion of needed repairs and renovations
to district schools.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in the community room at South Whidbey Elementary School (the Intermediate campus) at 5380 S. Maxwelton Road.
School board members will also receive a report and analysis of the Feb. 9 bond elections from other school districts.
Eleven school districts presented bond measures during the special election earlier this month — ranging from a $4.3 million measure in the Columbia School District for renovations to a K-12 facility, to a $234 million proposal for the renovation of three high schools and the construction of three new elementary schools in the Lake Washington School District — and seven of the bond proposals passed.
