Almost a month into the new school year, the South Whidbey School District’s board of directors will vote on a contract for teachers in the district at this week’s board meeting.
Union representatives and district officials agreed on a tentative contract before school began. Teachers voted on it last week, and await official approval from the district.
The board is also expected to approve changes to several district policies, including ones that address homeless student enrollment and director boundaries for school board members.
District Superintendent Jo Moccia will present the district’s test score data to the board in the only scheduled presentation during the meeting.
The school board meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 in the board room at South Whidbey Primary Campus.
An executive session will be held after the business meeting to review goals for the new superintendent.
