The following are 9-1-1 calls to the Island County Sheriff’s Office.
Sunday, June 29
5:38 a.m. — A person arrived at the Eagles club and found it had been broken into, with glass everywhere and the alarm going off.
1:26 p.m. — A resident on Bush Point Road reported that an airplane flies over the house, swoops down and flies around the house and is very noisy. Most of the plane activity seemed to be on the weekend with no specific day or time.
3:48 p.m. — A man on Sunlight Beach Road reported his wife was riding her horse in the tide flats where a dog attacked the horse twice. The second time his wife was thrown off the horse.
Tuesday, July 1
11:17 a.m. — A caller on Boon Road reported a one-million bee swarm right over Highway 20.
12:34 p.m. — A caller on Brighton Beach Road asked for a call from law enforcement about his wife, who he says has been drinking for multiple days and is wandering around town.
Wednesday, July 2
10:43 a.m. — A caller on Highway 525 in Greenbank reported seeing a wanted subject that was in the South Whidbey Record, Travis Loetterle, in a store attempting to sell items.
2:08 p.m. — A caller at a Bayview Road business wants to eject a customer from the building who started a fight and assaulted people.
3:57 p.m. — A caller on Sunlight Beach Road reported subjects riding horses on private tidelands. The caller asked them to leave, and a verbal dispute ensued.
4:41 p.m. — A caller at a Bayview grocery store reported Travis Loetterle was standing on the corner holding a sign.
8:48 p.m. — A caller on Honeymoon Bay Road and Harbor Hills Drive reported a male with an open container is wandering in the area. Caller is concerned because it’s getting late and the man was wobbling while walking.
Thursday, July 3
6:29 a.m. — A caller on Smugglers Cove Road at the North Lagoon public fishing area reported a possible injured seal, 10 yards off shore in the water.
7:35 a.m. — A caller on East Harbor Road reported a group of people in a dispute; someone had a baseball bat and someone else was yelling about a gun.
9:13 a.m. — A caller on Highway 525 reported an insurance company in Clinton had been broken into. It occurred sometime over night; the phone lines were cut and the place was ransacked.
1:14 p.m. — A caller on Riley Road in Oak Harbor reported a sheriff’s boat was dumping crabs out of her pots that she put out legally. The caller is watching with binoculars.
1:30 p.m. — A caller at a Bayview grocery store said a male subject, previously cited for trespassing, was in the store. He began throwing things on the floor after he was told he can’t be there.
2:59 p.m. — A caller on Highway 525 advised trespassers on the beach are building forts and lighting off fireworks. The caller said he’d already been down there once that day and removed a fort.
4:35 p.m. — A caller at a Bayview grocery store reported that during the earlier trespass involving the caller’s brother, a store employee allegedly pushed the caller’s 4-year-old child.
5:42 p.m. — A caller on Cultus Bay Road said a half-tank of gas was siphoned from a vehicle during the night.
