Sue Frause, host of WICA’s culinary series “Kitsch ‘N’ Bitch” and a popular writer on South Whidbey, was hospitalized last Saturday.
According to a post on her Facebook page by her son, Max Frause, she suffered a brain aneurysm and needed emergency surgery. He also wrote that she was kept in the hospital to be monitored but “is doing well and is grateful for all of the well wishes.”
Langley Mayor Fred McCarthy said in an email that Frause “had a spell” during the Langley Sea Float Scramble on Jan. 3 and was taken to an area hospital in an ambulance.
