Whidbey Island’s mail carriers will pick up non-perishable food donations Saturday, May 10 as part of the national Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Last year, 74 million pounds of food was donated and gathered by United States Postal Service carriers across the country. According to a news release, that fed an estimated 30 million people.
To participate, leave non-perishable food donations in a bag by the mailbox May 10.
