Whidbey General Hospital’s emergency responders will honor ferry workers on the Clinton-to-Mukilteo run Saturday, Oct. 4.
The hospital emergency medical technicians and paramedics rely on the ferry to transport patients to the mainland for specialized care or severe trauma or cardiac issues. Last year, 600 patients were taken across the ferry to facilities on the mainland, according to a press release from Whidbey General Hospital.
The plaque presentation at the Clinton Ferry Terminal begins at 1 p.m.
