Some 125 book lovers representing 33 book clubs from Oak Harbor to Clinton participated in the All Island Book Clubs Event earlier this month.

Some 125 book lovers representing 33 book clubs from Oak Harbor to Clinton participated in the All Island Book Clubs Event earlier this month.

The event, held this year at the Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club, is an annual affair that began in 2005; from it a list of book clubs’ favorite books is compiled. The books most mentioned this year were “The Boys in the Boat” by Daniel James Brown and “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr.
