Whidbey Wranglers elect new officers

The Whidbey Wranglers 4-H Horse Club launched the 4-H year with a flurry of activities. Officers were elected for 2011 and include president Alissa Coupe, vice president Morgan Mackie, secretary Danielle Potter and treasurer Kacie Hanson.

The Whidbey Wranglers 4-H Horse Club launched the 4-H year with a flurry of activities.

Officers were elected for 2011 and include president Alissa Coupe, vice president Morgan Mackie, secretary Danielle Potter and treasurer Kacie Hanson.

Members wrapped gift boxes for “Operation Christmas Child” and volunteered at the “Holiday House” for community service projects this past December.

Coming up is the Wranglers Chili Feed at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church at Sixth Street and Cascade Avenue in Langley.

Everyone is invited to join the event for delicious chili with all the fixings, along with an enticing dessert auction to help raise funds for 4-H horse riders.

A raffle will also be held with a variety of prizes available.

The event costs $5 per person or $15 for a family of four. Call Erin Hanson for more information at 321-1360.
