On Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island, visiting minister the Rev. Marilyn Sewell will address the need for both individual and institutional witness during a time in which our culture is challenged on so many levels: economically, environmentally and spiritually.
Rev. Sewell recently retired after serving 17 years as senior minister of the First Unitarian Church of Portland, Ore.
Special musicians at the service will be by Gloria Ferry-Brennan, Teo Benson and Nola Allen playing movements from a Vivaldi double violin concerto.
All are welcome. Values-based children’s religious exploration classes and childcare will be provided. The service is at 10 a.m. at 20103 Highway 525, just north of Freeland. Check www.whidbey.com/uucwi for more information.
