Andy Anderson passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 12, 2007 at Providence Everett Medical Center, Colby Campus in Everett.
Andy was born June 1, 1930, one of five children to Lilly (King) Anderson and Peter Martin Anderson in Greenville, Ky. Lilly and Peter named their son Curtis Linton; he legally changed his name to Andy in 1959.
At age 18 Andy enlisted in the Coast Guard and proudly served until his honorable discharge in 1952.
Andy met and married his beloved wife Barbara Lee Wood (Dalton, daughter of Leonard Dalton Sr.) in 1952.
They eventually settled in Tampa, Fla. where they raised four children. Andy worked for Peninsular Telephone (later bought out by G.T.E.) for 35 years, first as a lineman, then as a foreman.
Andy is survived by his sons Scott, Mark and Dale, as well as his daughter Debbie. His Whidbey Island family includes Don and Sandy Izett, Paul and Chris Zorich, Mike and Stephanie Dalton, Jim and Diane Linaberry (Pennsylvania), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Andy was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara in 1988.

Friends are welcome at a family remembrance, which will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Langley Cemetery.
