Anna Blanche Potts, 82, of Langley died June 10, 2010 at the home of her daughter Mary Anne Baumer in San Diego, Calif.
She was born Anna Blanche Kulp on Sept. 15, 1927 at her parents’ home in Telford, Penn. to Robert A. Kulp and Lillian M. Reller.
She married Robert G. Baumer on Sept. 6, 1952 in Hatfield, Penn. They were divorced. She married Gerald L. Potts on June 4, 1963 in San Diego, Calif.
Mrs. Potts was employed as a waitress in San Diego for many years. In 1985, she retired and moved with her husband to Whidbey Island.
She was a member of the Langley Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for more than 20 years. She also belonged to the local Christian Women’s Club and the Eastern Star, as well as being a faithful prayer warrior for her friends, family and many others.
Mrs. Potts is survived by her children, Robert G. Baumer Jr. and wife Anita of Emporia, Kan; Mary Anne Baumer of San Diego, Calif.; Deborah E. Baumer and Michael Ballis of San Diego; and Kenneth J. Potts and wife Jo of Shelton; four grandchildren, Becky, Alicia, Alex and John; and one great-grandson, Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, and a grandson, Bobby Baumer.
She was cremated, and a memorial service was June 18, 2010 at Balboa Community Church in San Diego.
A second memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 28 at the Langley Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
