Anne Patterson Sopher died Aug. 3, 2002, at her home in Savannah, Ga., after fighting a long battle in the hospital in Jacksonville, Fla. A liver transplant was successful, but she had complications.
Mrs. Sopher was born July 7, 1956, and grew up in Bellevue. After college she worked, and had a daughter, Amy. She lived in San Antonio, Texas; China; Thailand; and Saudi Arabia. She then moved to Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Sopher of Savannah, Ga.; a daughter, Amy Gilstrap in Utah; parents William and Pat Patterson of Langley; and two brothers, Bill Patterson and wife Cheryl and their children, Callie and Charlie, of Freeland, and Dean Patterson and wife Denise Evans and their children, Nicole and Maryn, of Clinton.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church. A reception will follow the service.
