Arden Horgan

Arden G. Horgan was born in Seattle on Aug. 14, 1928 to Alice and Arnold MacKeen. They moved to Tacoma, where Arden graduated from Stadium High School.

She married Charles Richard Horgan on July 3, 1953, and they enjoyed the next 57 years together. They moved to Seattle and started a home and family.

What gave Arden the most pleasure was caring for her family, homemaking and cooking. After retirement, Arden and Dick moved to Whidbey Island, where they lived and enjoyed the beach life for the next 20 years. They moved to Edmonds in 2005.

Arden is survived by her husband C.R. (Dick) Horgan; her children Jody, Martin (wife Bev), Katie (Horgan) Larson (husband Bob) and Christopher (wife Julie); and her grandchildren, Josh, Jase, Justin, Alisa, Andrew (Larson) and Evan (Larson).

Arden passed away peacefully on March 27, 2011 after a long illness.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Edmonds. Remembrances in lieu of flowers can be made to Providence Hospice or a favorite charity.
