Arthur “Art” L. McCarty passed away on Nov. 13, 2007.

He leaves behind Jean, his loving wife of 58 years; daughter Carol (deceased); granddaughter Tammy and her husband Bret of Langley, and great-grandchildren Tony, Charlie, Sam and Savannah. Also surviving Art is his brother Don, his family, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, which include members of the Reys and Schukar families of South Whidbey.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Columbia Lutheran Home at 4700 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle.

A graveside service with military honors is planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery at 11111 Aurora Ave. N, Seattle.
