Oran was born in Saint Louis, Oklahoma,

June 16, 1929, passed away in Republic,

Washington, July 2, 2024, 95 years of age.

Oran was always quick with a smile and laugh. Those who were closest to him knew him as fun loving, and quick witted. Oran, in his younger years, gave the definition to extreme sports.

He was a Korean War Vet, serving in the Army, and worked for Boeing for over 40 years. He was a shot gunner, hunter, an extreme scuba diver, and was always all in when he was trying something new.

Oran was predeceased in death by his parents, Herman and Thelma Downs, his twin brother, Rene Downs, youngest brother, Lee Downs, his son, Rex Downs, and grand daughter, Laura Lee Dorey.

Surviving family members:

Wife: Judith Downs

Daughters: Donna Nichifor, Eva Dorey, Elizabeth Enslin, and Rhonda Baxter.

Grandchildren: Matthew Routt, Tanya Routt, Harlan Dorey, Jonathan Dorey, Kevin Cobden, Eddie Dorey, Amalesh Parajuli, and Ludmila Baxter.

4 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren

Oran will be greatly missed. His smile will be in our hearts, on the trails that we walk, and in memories we carry.
