ZCharles George “Chuck” Kuranko, 76, died Feb. 9, 2003.
He was born Aug. 15, 1926, in Wilkeson to Mary and George Kuranko. He was the oldest of six children.
He married Lee Larson on Feb. 23, 1952. The couple settled in Seattle where they had six children. He had been an electrical engineer at Boeing. He enjoyed model railroads, participating in clubs at Boeing and was a charter member of the winemaking club.
He retired to the home he and his wife had built on Whidbey Island, where their family spent many summers. He was a long-standing member of the Useless Bay Golf and Country Club, where he developed his interest in golf. He enjoyed traveling around the world.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Kuranko, of Langley; siblings; children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. Luke’s Church, 322 North 175th St., Shoreline. Memorials may be made to Union Gospel Mission, Seattle.
