Charles Elmer Lowry, 82, passed away Aug. 2, 2004, at his home in Greenbank. He was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Blue Mound, Kan., a son of Charles and Edna Lowry.
Mr. Lowry moved from Woodinville to Whidbey Island 20 years ago. He was a member of the South Whidbey Church of Christ. He played the banjo and other instruments.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Lowry; step-children Miles Roscher, Clay Roscher and Tracy Roscher; four granddaughters and one grandson; sister Edith Bishop of Cashmere; brothers James Lowry of Yakima and Edward Lowry of Missouri; mother-in-law Pearl Martin; brothers- and sisters-in-law Sharon and John Savage, Loren and Marge Martin, and Earl Martin; and his devoted dog, Mitz.
A memorial service was held Aug. 5 at Visser Funeral Home in Langley.
