Christopher Jon Abernethy, 36, died Oct. 20, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
He was born Jan. 31, 1970 in Putuxant River, Md. to Chuck and Peg (Matheson) Abernethy.
He was an aircraft mechanic for Missionary Maintenance Service in Coshocton, Ohio and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dana (Harmsen) Abernethy, whom he married Oct. 9, 1993. Also surviving are his children, Caleb, Lydia, and JoAnna; his parents, Chuck and Peg Abernethy of Coupeville; two sisters, Lyn Campbell of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Margaret Salazar of Sumner; four brothers, Brian and Dave Abernethy of Bothell, Tim Abernethy of Houston, Texas, and Phil Abernethy of Graham.
A celebration of Chris’ life was held Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Coshocton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for Chris’ children’s education in care of Calvary Baptist Church, 46621 US 36, Coshocton, OH 43812.
The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling the arrangements.
