Cliff Filibeck, born June 13, 1926, died
Nov. 21, 2009. He was a loving husband, father, hero to his grandchildren and friend to many.
Cliff managed the Everett American Legion and also the Everett Elks Club in the 1970s.
A longtime resident of Whidbey Island, he is best remembered for owning Filibeck’s Chuckwagon Inn in Everett for
30 years. During that time, he touched the lives of many people in the community.
He loved to laugh, and lived life to the fullest. God took him with a puff of wind. He will be dearly missed.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister and brothers. He leaves behind his wife Joy, and daughters Lisa, Julie and Carmel, and three grandsons.
To honor his wishes, his family requests no services. Have a drink, tell a joke, and if you knew him, turn to the person next to you and tell a story about him so he will be remembered. May we all be so lucky as to live the life he did.
At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Whidbey General Hospital, Attn: EMS, 101 N. Main St., Coupeville, WA 98239.
“You will always be in our hearts.”
