Danny Hart, 61 years old, was reunited with his beloved parents and our Lord, on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Whidbey General Hospital, after a short illness.
Danny, the only boy in a family of 5 siblings, was born on October 28, 1960, in Minneapolis, MN, to Lester and Margaret (Bruer) Hart. The family moved to Skagit County in 1965, where he remained for most of forty years, moving with family to Fallon, NV, periodically for work and finally to Oak Harbor in 2005. He worked as a machinist and construction worker before working at the Oak Harbor School District as a custodian.
Danny was an avid pool player and a passionate fan of football at all levels, mostly the NCAA and NFL and strictly followed it until his death. Danny was also a zealous fisherman, both in the Skagit River and the Pacific waters. He was also an avid reader and loved to learn about history in particular. In his last years, Danny became a devoted supporter of MOPS at the Family Bible Church where he served as an attendant, supporting 3 –5 year olds. This was the joy of his life and never missed a day in 2 years of service. Danny’s legacy continues through the Anderson family of parents and 6 children he dearly loved and spent so much time with. Known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit, he will be missed by many.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Margaret, and his sister, Mary. He is survived by his sisters Laurie Pudlik, Eileen King and Tracey Tomlin, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Danny’s wishes are to have no funeral or celebration of life. In his honor, donations may be made to the National Eye Institute of Research.
