Diane E. Gilmore, age 62, of Clinton, died Feb. 3, 2007 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle from a history of illnesses.
Mrs. Gilmore was born on Aug. 30, 1944, in Inglewood, N.J. she was the daughter of her late parents Robert and Emily Magill who had resided in Anacortes. Also deceased is her brother Robert Jr. Magill of Flat River, Mo.
Mrs. Gilmore graduated from Albany Georgia High School in 1961 and moved to Seattle at age 19. She attended college and studied nursing for a short time and then married Mr. Lanny Gilmore on Jan. 24, 1965.
She worked several jobs throughout her life but decided to dedicate her time to her family. Her hobbies included painting, knitting and jewelry beading. For the past 10 years, Mrs. Gilmore participated in the World Vision program sponsoring a child from Ethiopia. Mrs. Gilmore was a very kind, caring and loving person.
Mrs. Gilmore is survived by her husband of 42 years, Lanny Gilmore of Clinton; daughter, Natalie Gilmore of Seattle; son, Steven Gilmore of Monroe; brother, Russell A. Magill of Ocean Park, Wash.; granddaughter, Taylor Anne Haines, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; aunt, Gene Slaght, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Services will be determined at a future date.
