Dick Ladbury passed away Sept. 13, 2003, from complications of surgery.

He had been a Whidbey Island resident for eight years and was a small-business owner. He was known as a generous, outgoing and caring man who made friends wherever he went. He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Davis-Ladbury; a son, J.P. Ladbury; and his mother-in-law, Betty Berndt.

A memorial service was held Sept. 20 at Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
