Doris Kathryn Reimann Taylor, born in Wenatchee, Wash. on Oct. 24, 1927, passed away on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at Careage of Whidbey rehab center in Coupeville, Wash. She was currently residing at “Regency on Whidbey” in Oak Harbor, Wash.
A 1945 graduate of Ritzville High School, she lived over 60 years on the Eastside area of Seattle, Wash. Doris was married to Wally Taylor Jr., who preceded her in death on July 24, 2012. She was Wally’s “first wife” for 67 years.
Doris is survived by two daughters Marcia (Clyde) Monma, of Clinton, Wash.; Michelle Grace, of Clinton, Wash. and one son Thad (Deb) Taylor of Oak Harbor, Wash.
She enjoyed her grandchildren Heather Hunt McDonald of Oak Harbor; Corin Taylor of San Francisco, Jason Monma (Kali) of San Jose, Calif.; and Briana Neider (Eli) of Anacortes, Wash.
Doris also took pride and joy in her great granddaughters Madilyn Hunt Davis (Ethan) of Oak Harbor, WA; Marlee Neider of Anacortes, WA; Ezri Monma of San Jose, CA and great grandson Jared McDonald “Big Mac” of Oak Harbor.
Her great-great grandson Andrew Davis of Oak Harbor, Wash. was the star at her retirement home.
She was loved and admired by many who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29 at Masonic Hall in Kent, Wash. Doris’s ashes were interred at Tahoma National Cemetery on Oct. 20.
