Russel A. Douglas, 32, Renton, died Dec. 26, 2003, near Freeland from a gunshot wound.
He was born Sept. 9, 1971, in King City, Calif. He graduated from Coupeville High School in 1989 and received a degree in geography and land use planning from Central Washington University in 1993. He was obtaining a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He worked for the Mukilteo Planning Department from 1995 to 1999, and most recently worked in land acquisition for Whalen Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Brenna; a son, Jack; a daughter, Hannah; his mother and stepfather, Gail and Bob O’Neal, Spokane; his father and stepmother, Jim and Caroll Douglas, Juneau, Alaska; a sister, Holly Hunziker, Lynnwood; and a brother, Matthew, San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
